Next month’s Geneva Motor Show will herald the arrival of the Chevrolet Cruze Station Wagon – a keenly anticipated estate version of the million-selling Cruze saloon and hatchback.
The Station Wagon offers almost 1,500 litres of load space, yet it retains the immediately recognisable aesthetics of its siblings, despite being slightly longer. Indeed, thanks to some impressive design work and standard-fit roof rails, it could be argued that this is the best-looking member of the Cruze family…
The Cruze has been on sale for three years, and Chevrolet has taken this opportunity to introduce a mild revamp for all 2012 models. Tweaks include a remodelled front fascia and centre console, revised headlamps and fog lights, and a variety of fresh wheel designs. The Cruze Station Wagon will be offered with a variety of engines including a new 130bhp 1.7-litre start-stop diesel, with CO2 emissions of 119g/km.
