It’s no secret that Hyundai has been quietly amassing a trophy cabinet full of awards during 2011. The company has been voted best car manufacturer of the year by Which? magazine, and won the Car Franchise of the Year title at the 2011 Motor Trader awards, for the second year running.
It’s been an equally successful year for Hyundai’s products, with the i10 named Best City Car by both CarBuyer.co.uk and Auto Express magazine.
Auto Express also declared the ix20 to be Britain’s best Supermini MPV, while the Santa Fe walked away with an award in the SUV category of What Car? magazine’s Used Car of the Year ceremony.
Meanwhile, the newly launched i40 has been crowned Best Estate Car at the 2011 Scottish Car of the Year awards, and even won the fiercely contested Golden Award at this year’s EuroCarBody conference in Frankfurt.
