Few cars deliver as much visual drama as the new Hyundai Veloster. On sale from next month, this extraordinary coupe packs more character into its unique three-door design than any competitor, and it’s equally stunning on the inside as well.
Look at the Veloster from one side, and it’s a rakish two-door coupe. Yet on the opposite side, there’s a rear door, opening to reveal a single back seat. Surprisingly, this asymmetric design is one of the more discreet details on a car whose appearance bristles with purpose, from its rounded nose to that curvaceous rump, via distinctively flared wheel arches.
The stylistic drama continues inside, with a seven-inch touchscreen media centre dominating the dashboard and joining a standard specification list that includes parking sensors, voice-activated Bluetooth and climate control. Meanwhile, flagship Sport models get a panoramic sunroof and heated black leather seats.
