With 2011 retreating into history, Jeep has been given a reason to look back on last year with real pride.
The Jeep brand saw overall sales rise throughout Europe by over 61 per cent during 2011, at a time when the car industry as a whole was experiencing a decline. In the UK alone, sales rose by almost 20 per cent compared to the previous year, possibly due in part to the awful winters of 2009 and 2010.
The Jeep family has experienced some significant additions lately, with a new Grand Cherokee range spearheaded by the thunderous SRT8 flagship.
The affordable Compass also became the first Jeep ever to be sold with two wheel drive, while the iconic Wrangler continues to offer a modern take on the unburstable dynamics of its legendary military forefather. Little wonder the Jeep brand is more popular than ever.
