Smiles per mile with the Swift DDiS

With Christmas fast approaching, it’s vitally important to make every pound stretch as far as possible, so the arrival of Suzuki’s new Swift DDiS couldn’t be better timed.

This latest addition to the popular Swift family is a super-efficient 1.3-litre diesel model with a raft of fuel-saving technologies that helped it to return a stunning 86 miles per gallon during a recent economy test. During an epic 372-mile journey for Fleet World magazine, the Swift DDiS used just 19.6 litres of fuel, across a variety of road types.

The DDiS’s frugality brings other benefits, including £20 VED and emissions of just 109g/km, meaning it incurs a low 13 per cent company car tax liability. Yet it retains the same willing and engaging driving characteristics of other Swifts, with handling to match its sharp looks, and standard equipment including traction control and curtain airbags.
