This is the Mokka – Vauxhall’s latest addition to the competitive SUV sector, and a breath of fresh air compared to some of its more staid rivals. The Mokka will be officially launched at next month’s Geneva motor show, but some advanced information has already been released, indicating that this spacious five-seater will offer plenty of choice to buyers.
The Mokka will be available with manual and automatic gearboxes, two or four-wheel drive, and a choice between petrol or diesel powerplants imbued with Start/Stop technology. Innovative thinking will see cameras at both ends of the car delivering superb vision, along with a fully-integrated bicycle carrier and 19 separate storage locations throughout the interior.
However, there’s plenty of presence backing up this practicality; the car’s feline front end and chunky profile contribute to an imposing appearance, with 18-inch alloys and higher ground clearance reinforcing the Mokka’s purposeful air.
