After last autumn’s launch of the coveted Astra GTC, 2012 will herald Vauxhall’s eagerly awaited new arrival in the hot hatchback market.
Following in the legendary tyre tracks of models like the 1980s Astra GTE and Chevette HSR, the brand new Astra VXR is set to bring a smile to the face of keen drivers across Scotland, with an incendiary blend of performance and presence.
Powered by a two-litre turbocharged engine, the Astra VXR accelerates relentlessly all the way to 155mph, while a bespoke chassis, limited slip differential and Brembo brakes rein in this epic power.
The most powerful Astra in history will also be notable for its stylistic flourishes, including trapezoidal tailpipes and a specially sculpted bodykit. The net result is a car that almost oozes menace and presence, while delivering the driving experience you’d expect given its muscular, athletic appearance.
