Vauxhall Unveils its Most Powerful Diesel Engine of all Time

Vauxhall has just unveiled its most powerful diesel engine of all time – a 195PS twin-turbo powerplant that generates just 129g/km of emissions despite its prodigious power. With sequential turbochargers delivering seamless performance, this thunderous engine has found its natural home in the best-selling Insignia hatchback and estate ranges.

Propelling the Insignia BiTurbo to 60mph in around eight seconds, this state-of-the-art engine delivers combined fuel economy of over 57mpg, thanks to eco-features including start-stop engine technology.

Vauxhall’s ingenious FlexRide adaptive damping is standard, adjusting damper settings according to driver behaviour, while the throttle and steering settings can also be independently altered.

The Insignia BiTurbo is available in SRi or SRi Vx-line with either two- or four-wheel drive, while futuristic options include a front-facing camera that can recognise traffic signs, and cruise control that maintains a steady distance from the vehicle in front.
